Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind : A Novel

This book was just a real good read. It's funny in that way that only a "Southern" flavored book can be. from the back cover:
Miss Julia, a recently bereaved and newly wealthy widow, is only slightly bemused when one Hazel Marie Puckett appears at her door with a youngster in tow and unceremoniously announces that the child is the bastard child of Miss Julia's late husband. Suddenly, this longtime church member and pillar of her small Southern community finds herself in the middle of an unseemly scandal--and the guardian of a wan nine-year-old whose mere presence turns her life upside down.

Received this book from Meshe. Can't wait to read it.
I enjoyed this book. Miss Julia is a bit outspoken and thinks everyone wants her advice. But she has a kind heart, even to the point of taking in her dead husband's illegitimate child and later on befriending the boy's mother. Book is going to Penny-n-Chaos next.
All Right! I should finish the book I'm reading now tonight. And I think I'll start this one next.
