I collect Newbery books, and I have ended up with an extra copy of the 1978 Newbery Medal Winner-- Bridge to Terabithia. We read this in school when I was a kid, and I enjoyed it. I saw the movie when it came out a few years ago, and I liked that too! I am planning to pass this book along, and I hope it finds new readers (or re-readers like me). I am going to take it on a road trip to Oklahoma this weekend, and I hope to leave it somewhere along the way.

On the way home from Oklahoma City, I was feeling pretty sick. My fiance was trying to wait for me to eat something, but he was getting pretty hungry by Waynesville, so we stopped for him to grab a burger at McDonald's. While we were there, I sat at a high table to wait for him, and I left this book there when we got back on the road.

i work at waynesville mcdonalds and found the book after one busy lunch period. i took it home to read and actually forgot i had it for a few days. sorry!

I was handed this book by someone who worked at that McDonalds. It sat at home for awhile before I had the chance to get to it! I really did enjoy it, I had never read it before or seen the movie. I found myself crying at the end. I am headed to Panara Bread in St Robert MO for dinner tonight and will leave it there for someone else to enjoy. Thanks for sharing.
