This book does have some sentimental value to me as it was given to me as a kind or reconciliation present by a girl who I adored and had just had a row with (as you do). In retrospect it was obviously hopeless as I was living with somebody else as she was (although not happily) but Ive never wanted to have sex with somebody so much before or since. She used to come to work (where we met) wearing no bra and a loose open shirt so that I could see her small breasts and brown nipples. We talked about books and stuff and I thought she was great.

I still see her but the magic has gone.

Anyway Wise Children. What can I say about it? Its a book club edition (we were both members of the same book club). I didnt enjoy it.
