This gets 9 out of 10 just because I don't think any book is truly perfect. Contact considers science, religion, sexism and really makes you think. As a woman scientist, I really relate to Ellie in her struggles as a woman in a predominately male field. Also, the questions brought up about science and religion are well discussed and can help you make up your own mind about such issues. A wonderful book - better than the movie. I also was glad that this book filled in a little more of the science involved than the movie.

Well, no one had picked this up for awhile, and perhaps the astro library isn't the best place to leave it - not a lot of traffic. So, I think I'm going to re-release it somewhere else in the hopes that someone will pick it up and enjoy it.

I left it on a table near the large lecture hall - 1300 Sterling. Hopefully a student will grab it on his or her way to class.

Found this book outside of a building at 11:00 at night. Neat.
