A Cool Moonlight

When Lila was just a baby, doctors discovered that she had been born with a rare and dangerous allergy to the sun. She stays in her tinted-window home during the day, going out only at night. She longs for the touch of the sun, and believes that when she gathers her sun pieces, she will be able to stand and enjoy the sun's glow.
I read this during the Dewey's read-a-thon, because it's short and easy to read. The prose is very lyric and dreamy, almost mystical. It's a book that can be enjoy over and over.
