One Fat Lady
A great book for fans of TV's Two Fat Ladies (the author is the fatter of the two). The early part of the book is a rambling tale of growing up in an upper class family with an abusive father. It would be a sad tale except for Dickson Wright's many amusing asides about the size of the genitals of certain members of the royal family, and other stories. After several sad/funny stories of her decade of hard drinking, the tangents end and Dickson Wright relates her path to recovery, a new career, and finally, fame.

Intriguing life story and was a page turner for me. A little dense at times with names, places etc. so it is especially for those who enjoy UK and food culture history.
