Yukari is a model prep-school student and a hard worker, but when she meets a group of teens from an art school, she begins to question the reasons for her dedication. Quick-tempered punk Arishi, sweet, girlish Miwako, elegant, clever, transgender Isabella and handsome, rich George are a whole new world for her, and they want her to be their model for a student fashion show.

I don't like this as much as Yazawa's other well-known series, NANA, but it was a fun read. Yazawa's stylized, angular yet delicate artwork is perfect for a fashion heavy comic. There is a lot of humor, and the forth wall is frequently broken with remarks like "Don't say my name in kanji!" or quips about the title of the chapter. There's a bit too much romanic melodrama for my taste, but others may like it more.

This book is heading out as part of the Manga/Graphic Novel/Comic Relay Game.

Received with thanks. I already started reading it, I gradually manage not to get confused by the manga-style print -something that I found very interesting to come accross!

Unlike its companion, this was sweet and kind of girlish. It was an enjoyable read, even though the story was quite simple and slow. I liked the characters and the drawings a lot, except when they became overexpressive. I would have liked to see more of the story, to see how things went and especially to see more cloths and designs!

The little book is now travelling to Austria with a new companion.
