Compelling mystery, interesting dialogue and characters. I wish a few of the loose ends had been tied up better.
I liked that one of the characters used the expression "the hair on the cake," which is apparently LAPD slang that means "a detail that mars an otherwise impressive investigation in the eyes of a jury."
