Another intriguing book! I hope Rob was allowed to read it! If not, would he like it back once I've read it?

Thanks again!!

Well, I have finally read it. It was mentioned in a series of lectures on science fiction I was listening to, as a book classified as science fiction, which could equally well be classified as literary fiction.

Thank you for this book!!

It was originally written as a short story, which won a Hugo Award and then re-written as a novel, which won a Nebula. It was then made into a film, called Charly which won an Oscar.

It was about a man with an IQ of 68, who has an operation to make him more intelligent. The man writes a set of reports which move from being badly written to more and more accomplished. However, ... well you will have to find out the rest by reading it.
