The Last Enchantment (The Arthurian Saga, Book 3)

Purchased from the Friends of the Huron Public Library's annual book sale to raise funds for library programs.
It is a book from the series about Arthurian legends.
Truncated from the book flap: Merlin, whom men call "enchanter", is the narrator of this novel of Dark Age Britain, which begins with Arthur now King by right, having drawn the sword Caliburn from the stone. He instantly plunges into fierce warfare against the Saxon enemy, fighting to achieve the "small miracle" of unity and independence that Britain alone attained among the dependencies of a crumbling Roman Empire.
But Merlin's story focuses on a different kind of warfare against more subtle and dangerous enemies.

Natal Day Greetings, Josie! Chosen from your wishlist, I hope you enjoy this Arthurian tale from Mary Stewart. The cover is different from your wish list though. May your day be filled with sunshine, laughter, and joy...and may it spent with friends and family.
Thank you Minesayn, for the book, stickers, bookmark and coloring pages.
Call me nerdy, but the condition of the book--- the look and feel--- the age, wow!, and yet the pages are soo pristine and new, as if it hasn't been read. I hope it was just well kept, how sad that such a lovely "old" book not be enjoyed. This is one I will take care in reading and passing along. Thank you soooo much!!!

I love what Mary Stewart did with the legend of King Arthur and Merlin, she breathed new life into this old, old story and kept me flying through the pages.
