The Brethren
2 journalers for this copy...
When my friend was clearing out an old storeroom at her workplace, she found a huge number of books tucked away out of sight. Rather than see them thrown out, I kindly offered to adopt them all for BookCrossing.
This is a duplicate of a book I have already read. My review from 2005 is below:
" My first John Grisham and it was good!
The Brethren are three former judges serving out sentances in Trumble minimum security prison. They want to make money and come up with the perfect scam, pretending to be a poor, troubled, teenager stuck in rehab, looking for some male penpals. Once hooked, they start blackmailing the victims. Only, this time they've netted the wrong one, and he has some powerful friends. Who will come out on top?
Not a thrill a minute story, but there's enough going on to keep you turning the pages. And the two interweaving storylines are very skilfully written."

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Off to a fellow bookcrosser - hope you enjoy it.
Woohoo! Look what arrived in my mailbox this week! Thank you dark-draco for this lovely RABCK and thank you to your friend! Looking forward to read this one!
It took me a while to get this one at the top of my TBR pile, but it was well worth it! Enjoyed this book a lot, a bit slower-paced than some of the other Grisham books I have read, but still a very enjoyable read!
Thank you dark-draco for sharing this book with me!
I shall look for the next reader and pass this book on.
