I enjoy supporting Second Chance Books by the Sam's Club off Harrison Avenue. I purchased this over lunch after I overheard some co-workers discussing various science fiction authors and it made me "hungry."
Quite dense. It took reading some passages a few times to get a feel for the jargon developed by Gibson. The words are left to the reader to decipher without a glossary.
Overall a science fiction space epic in its creation of technology, scenes and characters. It follows a hacker as he struggles to regain some portion of himself after his career falls, though the change is also forced upon him.
Personally I'd rate it an eight today, but in acknowledgment of the territory it opened, I bumped it to a nine.
Be aware it includes violence, language, and depictions of sex.
