This was a light, fast read. Lady Catrin is attacked by the hirelings of Lord Steffan, who holds a vendetta against her. Lord Nicholas Talbot just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and is robbed by the same hirelings. Both injured and struggling to survive, Catrin and Nicholas help each other to overcome traumatic, upsetting pasts, and come to love each other on the journey back to his inherited hold.
