A poor girl, Taylor Greer, living in Kentucky with two goals: avoiding pregnancy and to get away. She purchases a '55 Volkswagen, heads west and ends up at an auto repair shop called Jesus Is Lord Used Tires. This also happens to be a sanctuary for Central American refugees. Taylor becomes involved taking care or a three year old American Indian girl named Turtle. She's headed for surprises down the line and realizes the true meaning of human condition.
