The world has caught up with Gibson. In the 80s he imagined where we would be today, and today he doesn't seem to be able to pull off the same trick. He is a superb writer, but here he's often inanely articulate: great prose, dull subject. Until about half way through. At some point both the action and the insight pick up and it turns into a rewarding read.
A good summer read. Is it summer yet?
