Awesome story! I couldn't put this book down. Zarek is very much a tortured soul and my heart went out to him while learning about his past and the life he had to endure. I really liked Astrid. This book also reveals a little more of Acheron's past and abilities and we meet his companion, Simi.

I am already anxious for the next Dark-Hunter story.
