Hunted down in Coalville after browsing through the fantastic selection of books in the nearby charity shop.

Once I'd got past the very off-putting, classic 70's school text book cover, I found this a rather good read. I can't honestly say that the fate of the former African Colonies since Independance has ever really interested me, but the wider tale of a ruling elite taking bloody vengence for earlier wrongs, has a resonance which is echoed in virtually all the conflicts being waged around the world today. The almost inevitable ending is very sad indeed.

To be released on my upcoming Shropshire reading/drinking holiday.
