Peculiar story about young woman who is having problems with her identity. Strange and very interesting at the same time. And the 1960'es gives the book a special atmosphere.

I had thought this book had been more strange than it was ;) Still, it was very entertaining, there were many interesting characters and good turns in the story.

This was a good story of the 1960's but not much more. It took one hundred pages till Marian got engaged and another 50 pages till she started not to eat meat. The feeling of Marian being consumed by others was not very much present at all, at least I didn't quite catch it. She was kind of freely floating and being available but it didn't really bother her until at least in the very end pages of the book. Not the best Atwood, in my opinion.
