"Twenty-five years ago two little girls were imprisoned for murder. Now, journalist Kirsty Lindsay is reporting a series of sickening attacks on young women and her investigation leads her to cleaner Amber Gordon.
For Kirsty and Amber, it is the first time they have seen each other since that dark day when they were children. Aware of the danger they are in and with new identities - and families - to protect, they will do anything it takes to keep their wicked secret hidden..."

I think this will be easier for us to follow.
Thanks for sharing, it seems to be a good read!

Currently reading it... wow! Quite a page turner! :)
I will send it together with "Picnic at Hanging Rock" to Penelopewanders, as she is next in both bookrays.

This is a fantastic book! I thoroughly enjoyed!
I will make sure to look for more novels by this enigmatic writer, whose first work is so brilliant... I know she has written at least one more, currently in my WishList.
The plot flows impeccably, and there are two main female characters who are strong and keep surprising us. As readers, our allegiances keep shifting... no real villains here, but mere victims of their own circumstances.
I liked the way in which the central crime is gradually being told; nothing is what it really seems.
Worth reading, undoubtedly,
Thanks a lot for sharing it, Purplesu; this will stay in my mind for a long time!
Soon to be sent to Penelopewanders, with two other bookrays.

Arrived here from Spain with some other rings and rays which were heading to me... As well as some lovely surprises... thanks so much! There seems to be an avalanche of books coming my way right now, so this will have to wait its turn.. .Thanks so much for making this available, and thanks, bookworm-lady, for sending - and adding the chocolate treats and magnet!
Rather intense story - advertised as a page turner, I did find that was true but I have to say I turned with more dread than glee as the story is pretty dire.
Thanks for sending and making this available -I'll PM for the next address and try to send this off soon.
Spoiler Alert follows!
I couldn't help thinking of the case of the young boys in the UK who killed a child a number of years ago, all recorded on a mall security camera or something of the sort, and wondered if this is what inspired the author. Here though the true guilt of the girls is put into question, whereas the recording of the boys was so horrific that it made international news, and their guilt seemed very clear.
I guess, in that I mention the potential innocence of the girls, that I'd best mark this as a spoiler.

Now headed on over to France. Enjoy!
Safely arrived. I'm looking forward to reading it. Thanks for sharing and sending.
It was a page-turner for me.
SPOILER WARNING !
I felt sorry for both the girls and wished them an happy life after all the miseries. I don't understand how the trial pronounced them guilty. I think today it's the other way around.

I'm looking forward to reading it.
Maybe I've just read too many good books to appreciate this slog.
It took me forever to get through it, page after page of Nothing Happens, and I knew who the killer was from the very beginning so no tension building. The entire book was so easy to figure out that I felt like I was putting together a 4-piece jigsaw puzzle.
Oh well, I do appreciate getting the chance to read it so "Thanks" for including me in the ray.
