Started this today and think I will enjoy.

1-04-04--- Finished this today. I enjoyed the first 1/2 of the book then got bogged down somehow but got more interested again toward the end. I think war history is difficult anyway and that is what part of this dealt with. It is intruiging enough subject matter and mostly good reading. I would suggest it to someone.
I found the ending particularly poignant the way the author weighs the price/reward for this forgotten but significant trade of an obscure South Pacific island for the island we know as Manhattan.

I just caught Nathaniel's Nutmeg this beautiful April day at the City
Bakery. I am looking forward to reading it and enjoyed so
much meeting other Book Crossing members: jennyscott,
lucybrown, and chocolafe fishy. We talked books for two
hours, found out we all had Bluegrass State origins and
connections, loved literature and books of all sorts. What
a small, pleasant, literate world it seemed this fun Saturday
morning. Thank you!

I caught this book this morning at City Bakery. Book Crossing
attributed my "catch" and journal entry to Anonymous Finder, but
it was "caught" by me--"slithytove" and that is my entry above...
I am looking forward to a "spicey" read.

Just got the book in the mail and I can't wait to delve into it! It's the next book I'll crack in to.
