Synopsis:
"As his tale begins, Orlando is a passionate young nobleman whose days are spent in rowdy revelry, filled with the colorful delights of Queen Elizabeth's court. By the close, he will have transformed into a modern, thirty-six-year-old woman and three centuries will have passed. Orlando will witness the making of history from its edge, dressing in the flamboyant fashions of each day, following passing customs, and socializing with celebrated artists and writers. Orlando's journey will also be an internal one--he is an impulsive poet who learns patience in matters of the heart, and a woman who knows what it is to be a man."
Virginia Woolf's most unusual and fantastic creation, Orlando is a funny, exuberant romp through history that examines the true nature of sexuality.

For some reason this book has caused a hickup in my reading. It has arrived some time ago, soffitta1 assured me that there was no hurry at all to read it and so I started to go around it.
Now it HAS to be read first and I sense a big hesitation within me. I'll try this week whether the book is 'for me' or not. If not, then it'll continue its journey (finally) to Tubereader.
I'm terribly sorry for the delay!

I have given this one a try. For several days in a row I've tried to get a grip on this book, to like it, or at least find it interesting enough to read on.
It didn't work out. I'm giving up, although I'm ashamed to say so. (I dislike not finishing books VERY much!)
Will contact Tubereader for their address, then the book will travel on.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Together this 1001-library book is now on its way to the next reader in line: Tubereader. Happy reading!!
This book arrived many months ago but it was a really bad personal timing for me (big health issues both for me and my mum) and I was not home, did not have regular access to the internet and had quite a lot going on at the time and could not get myself to organise all my life, let alone log into bookcrossing and get my books registered, updated, etc. sorry for that.
I am glad I was the last one in the ray, it might be a little while before I get to read it, but it is definitely on my TBR pile. Thanks for sharing and sorry for keeping this book "lost" for such a long time.
