I've read the book years ago in Finnish and liked it a lot. Well, I've actually liked few of Elton's book, they are quite funny.

I think I've probably seen the movie or parts of the movie made based on this book, as many parts of the book seemed so familiar. Anyway, the story was quite funny and touching.

Hieman hämmennyin Duffelin sanoessa, että hänellä olisi kuriroituna minulle kassillinen kirjoja. Kassin saatuani en ollut sen viisaampi, koska mukana ei ollut mitään viestiä. Nyt kun näen mistä kaupungista kirja on alunperin lähtenyt, alkavat epäilyni herätä... ;) Katsotaan mitä muissa kirjoissa lukee... Kiitos kuitenkin kirjasta!

I haven't seen this movie. The book was interesting enough, although I thought the woman was quite horrible (surely it was just her and not all of us women are that blindly selfish). I'm glad it ended the way it did - it was not the "easy solution".
