The first three books of the series were ok, but left me conflicted if I really liked the story. This fourth installment was really wacked, I had a lot of fun. The battles and the plot in general were so far out there, it was surreal. Lots of action, battles, crazy magic, very entertaining.
Now I just wish the characters were more captivating. I am starting to warm up to Cassie and Pritkin, but Mircea is still pretty one-dimensional. All other characters pop up so rarely, that there is barely any development at all.
