Picked up for a buck at Goodwill today. As described by Amazon, this is a "book that instantly captured the hearts of readers across the country, An American Childhood is Pulitzer Prize-winning author Annie Dillard's poignant, vivid memoir of growing up in Pittsburgh in the 1950s."
What a beautiful memory this book is! Annie Dillard had a wonderful childhood and brings it to life for the reader. Although I am younger and had a more rural upbringing, her story brought back lots of fond memories for me. Great book!
