The Book of Illusions

Talking about this book with a dear friend, I said that I had liked every second of it so far and hoped that its last 60 pages wouldn't let me down.
They almost did.
The meticulous description of the film The inner life of Martin Frost seemed unnecessary to me at that point, and it nearly ruined the marvellous rhythm kept throughout the book. However, after having read the finale, I fully understand why it had to be written the way it was.
Another Auster diamond, by all means.
