Killing Mister Watson

Historical novel about the death of the supposed killer of Belle Starr written by award winning author Peter Matthiessen. He is best known for his nonfiction: "The Snow Leopard", "In the Spirit of Crazy Horse". He tells this story in the voices of the Florida Keys residents who didn't witnessed the 'Killing of Mister Watson'. I felt like I was listening to the many characters tell me their version of what happened. Actually, it isn't known for sure how he died or if Mister Watson killed Belle Starr. In fact, the locals don't even known who Mister Watson really was. Peter Matthiessen's method of using the different voices help to reinforce the lack of facts. Novel stays interesting and is enjoyable.
