Henry Pierce has just moved in to a new apartment but the first time he checks his phone messages he discovers that someone had the number before him. The messages are for a woman named Lilly - ands she is in some kind of serious trouble.
Pierce is enexorably drawn into Lilly's world, a night-time world of escort services, websites, sex and secret identities. Every step Pierce takes leads him to abandon his own orderly life in a frantic race to save the life of a woman he has never met, as he is faced with a decision that could cost him everything...

says the backcover

But there is more... Pierce is a chemist and an expert on nano technology. In the end you not only know 'whodunnit' but you also know the future possibilities of this science. 'Cause I believe Connelly made quite a study as to make it thrilling and understandable for us laymen.

A page-turner, a book for a cold sunday or a rainy weekend! Listen to Henry's messages for a taste of Chasing The Dime. Or read about the book on Connelly's own website.

Release planned for Monday, October 27, 2003 at controlled release in amsterdam, Noord-Holland Netherlands.

Boekenpost is leuke post!

Short summary in English: Entertaining enough, but not my cup of tea. Some of the developments were unconvincing, and not adequately explained from the psychological state of the subject. Rather sudden ending with a 'deus ex machina'-feel. Still fairly enjoyable, though.

Received this book from Klaartje at the bookcrossingmeeting in Casa Sancho, Utrecht this evening. I was so busy reading all the catches that I almost forgot to make a journal entry for this book! Will let you know when I finish it.

*THIS JOURNAL ENTRY CONTAINS A SPOILER*

I just finished the book and really liked it! The subject of nanothechnology I find very interesting, the story entertaining. I had no problem with 'a fabricated end' other than missing the/a chapter where Henry convinced detective Renner to come and wire him so he could witness Henry getting an admission of guilt out of his old schoolbuddy Cody Zeller.

I got this book a few days ago (thanks for trading!). Last weekend I made the mistake ;-) to take start reading in the evening. The result: I only put the book away in the morning, at the very last page. I haven't been really reading for quite some time, unfortunately there was just no time for it. But this is of course nonsense. There's always time when you start reading a good book :-)
