From Sea to Shining Sea

This historical novel is the exciting saga about the Clark family pioneers, of which there were many. The novel concludes with a history of the youngest of these Clarks. William Clark, of the famed Lewis and Clark Expedition endured much to co-captain this expedition. It is written from his Mother's perspective and the final words she utters to the reader is the icing on the cake! I loved learning so much about the personalities of Mr. Merriweather Lewis and William Clark and all the men and woman who were a part of this great ground-breaking expedition! I also was captivated by William's older brother, George Clark, who was no slouch when it came to the pioneer spirit, and certainly, when it came to moral conviction! It covers a period in US History dating from 1773 to 1806 CE. It was, for me, a timely piece of enlightening entertainment, since, here in the Pacific Northwest, many events connected with the Lewis & Clark Expedition are currently being observed. If you like entertaining, but informative, reading, this is a book you do not want to miss! Aside from that the lesson for me was: Little do we know, when it comes to the historical value we, individually, contribute to the whole - just by being. William's Mother taught me much! Or, rightly, Mr. Thom did. Thank you, Mr. Thom!
