Not his greatest work. The first half is brilliant stuff, but then it loses grip on pretty much everything in the later stages. See what you think....

Really liked the beginning of the book, but I'm not quite sure about the last quarter. However it has got me reading again, after a break of a few years.

This is a very well written book - superb for a good 100 pages. I didn't really enjoy the final third of it though as it went off on a bit of a tangent. The final chapter is better and quite poignant. It didn't quite match the very high standard of other Ishiguro novels that I have read. Still well worth a read though. Planning to release the book this weekend (5/6) at the Pixies gig in London.
