Classic novel, rather tattered old penguin version. Having never read it, but quoted the first paragraph to a constantly remorseful friend - "Chronic remorse, as all the moralists are agreed, is a most undesirable sentiment. If you behaved badly, repent, make what amends you can and address yourself to the task of behaving better next time. On no account brood over your wrongdoing. Rolling in the muck is not the best way of getting clean." So thought I should read the book!

Too tattered to release as the pages would blow away! Persevered with it, but didn't enjoy! Will be disposed of in the paper bank!
