Just finished Wifey on a flight home from Alabama last night. I had mixed feelings about the book, but it was definitely a good book to read while wanting to relax and take my mind off of things. Passing on to next in line on bookray list.
Thanks Sissyrun for sharing this book!

Sorry if it seems this book entered the "Bermuda Triangle". It will be moving again when I hear back from the next person in line.

I do think I prefer Judy Blume writing children's [/youth] books. I loved her when I was a kid.

Well, Judy Blume is a fabulous writer, I must admit. I was having a bit of cognitive dissonance reading this, though, remembering the Judy Blume from my childhood. However, once I got past that, this is a good story. Sandy is someone I think most women can relate to, at least sometimes. However, I was disappointed with the end. I won't leave any spoilers, but I certainly thought Sandy would take a vastly different path. But I suppose I am looking at it with a "today" frame of mind, and it was written in the 70s, so there ya go.

On its way to arugh48187.

Journal Entry 10 by arugh48187 from Highland Park, Illinois USA on Monday, April 19, 2004
This one arrived in my mailbox this morning. I just love Judy Blume. I have a few bookrings in front of it, but will get to it soon.

Can't say this was my favorite book. I think I like Judy Blume better as a children's writer. And I didn't like Sandy at all. She was too paper thin as a character. I suppose that that's what the seventies were like, but really...get a spine already.

Anyway, thanks for sharing. Sorry for keeping it so long. It will be in the mail as soon as I get an address.

Released on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at Post Office at 153rd and Garrett in Apple Valley, Minnesota Controlled Releases.

Thescreaming found her own copy of this one, so it went off to cjb this morning. Happy Reading!

This bookray appears to be dead. I don't think it ever arrived in England. It was mailed to cjb on June 29, 2004. I've PM'd cjb twice; once in Oct. 2004 and again in Jan. 2005. No response to my PMs and the book is not journaled.
1/10/05: Just received PM from cjb and she will be mailing the book on to suzen. Hooray!
