I can't remember where this one came from but here it is in my house. Will I read it?
Amazon Editorial Review
From the critically acclaimed author of Hotel World comes a collection of uniquely inventive stories that thread the labyrinth of coincidence, chance, and connections missed and made.
What happens when you run into Death in a busy train station? (You know he’s Death because when he smiles, your cell phone goes dead.) What if your lover falls in love with a tree? Should you be jealous? From the woman pursued by a band of bagpipers in full regalia to the artist who’s built a seven-foot boat out of secondhand copies of The Great Gatsby, Smith’s characters are offbeat, charming, sexy, and as wonderfully complex as life itself.

I'd forgotten about this one. I couldn't get through Ali Smith's award-winning Hotel World but I'm finding that these stories intrigue and amuse me so far. I have read the first three.

I really enjoyed the first stories. They were surreal with a sense of humor. Then about midway through the story "Paradise" I lost my way. It was just too cruel a story for me! I attempted after that to get into some of the other offerings and just couldn't build up the interest. They all made me long to read something else. So now I will be reading something else. The first four stories were certainly above average. After that I guess I'm not entitled to an opinion. So I'm rating this average.
