Under the Snow

A murder story set in a small town in the Swedish Lapland. Ekman's thrillers evoke the harsh landscape of the far north extremely well.
I'll be posting this off to BookCrosser YowlYY later today.
Wasn't it kind of YowlYY to come all the way to Wrexham just to give me a book because she feared my Mt TBR was getting so low?!
Well, ok, it wasn't quite like that, but it was lovely to have a little meet with YowlYY and she made this book sound very appealing. I'm afraid it is likely to be quite a while before I can satisfy my curiosity about it, though.

I'm afraid I couldn't make any headway with this book. I couldn't relate to the characters and found the style somewhat awkward. I'm sure this is a fault in me and not the book. I hope it's next reader will appreciate it more.
I took this book to the Chester, Wirral & North Wales meet-up in Port Sunlight this morning and it was "claimed" by Lwry-m. Lovely to have a new attendee at our meets and I was pleased to be able to welcome her with a book.
Passed on to me at a meet this morning. Thank you, what a nice welcome.
Interesting book set in an isolated community where the year is 6 months darkness and 6 months sunlight.
