Why? Because Matilda is the rockingest children's book hero ever. Not only can she move things with her eyes, but she liberates a school full of oppressed children from Miss Trunchbull. (Who, incidentally, is perhaps the rockingest children's book villain ever.)

I haven't read this book since sixth grade (i am now a senior in high school) but i just read it in one day and loved just as much as i did when i was twelve. I love Roald Dahl's fanciful stories and Matilda is one of my favorites. I remember the first time i read it for days afterwards i tried moving things with my eyes, of course i failed miserably. I "caught" this book from my friend Christina in English today and spent the rest of my classes reading it. I'm definitely going to release this book into the wild soon. It is so great i want other people to have the opportunity to read it and enjoy it as much as i did. I haven't decided yet where i will leave it though...perhaps it will be coming soon to a coffee shop near you!
