A woman wakes to find herself lying in a graveyard, hurt and bleeding, her memory wiped clean. She doesnt know what she's doing there - or even who she is. She is rescued by a police officer, himself a newcomer to Los Angeles. After days of waiting, she is taken by complete surprise when she is finally identified by Alex Rivers, Hollywood's biggest movie star - and her husband. Cassie is dazzled and bewildered by the fairytale in which she suddenly finds herself. But everything is not quite right and there is something dark and distubing behind this glamorous facade. It is only as her memory gradually returns that her picture perfect life comes crumbling down and Cassie is faced with choices she never dreamed she would have to make.

A friend of mine said she didn't enjoy this book. Cassie is an intelligent woman and would never have allowed this to happen. When I began this book, I disagreed with her wanted to tell her that intelligence is no link to self esteem. However there did turn out to be one thing which I didn't understand and of course I won't give anything away here. Not sure if I could say this was an enjoyable book and it didn't really have Jodi Picoult's final twist.

My Secret Santa sent me this book and I am very happy about it. This author writes often about subject that makes the reader think. Questions about life, which have no 'perfect' solution.
Thank you earthcaroleanne, great choice for me! Thanks for choosing a
wishlist book for me.
