My favourite Poirot story - eerie & creepy!!

Amazon synopsis:
A teenage murder witness is drowned in a tub of apples…At a Hallowe’en party, Joyce – a hostile thirteen-year-old – boasts that she once witnessed a murder. When no-one believes her, she storms off home. But within hours her body is found, still in the house, drowned in an apple-bobbing tub. That night, Hercule Poirot is called in to find the ‘evil presence’. But first he must establish whether he is looking for a murderer or a double-murderer…

Ms Christie never disappoints, and this is a very adequate read for this time of year.
Once again, a murder and many suspects. Who's done it?
Poirot is called in by his friend Mrs. Oliver, the apple-eating mystery writer, and their conversations are witty and funny. (This novel's title was "The Apples" for the Spanish market.)
There are innovations thrown is, such as computers, and there are funny remarks by Mrs. Oliver, such as:
"...you'd be surprised at the things that happen sometimes. My last electric bill, for instance. I know there's a proverb which says "To err is human" but a human error is nothing to what a computer can do if it tries."
Anne-Elliott, it was a pleasure re-reading this novel; thanks for sharing it withme.
I will keep the glittery Halloween postcard, and send the book travelling again.

Received today.
Thank you very much for this book and all the goodies tucked inside the envelope.
Sad to say the adorable witch magnet didn't survive the journey, even though you so thoughtfully placed her in bubble wrap, the long flight has led to her untimely demise.
Ding! Dong! The Witch Is Dead ... A moment of silence, please.
