CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

popped in the post to the next reader.

I really enjoyed this, Dawkins writes well, with humour and fascinating insight. Not a lot of the concepts in this book were new to me, but they were still interesting becasue of the perspective and examples.
Dawkins is often criticised for being angry and confrontational - to be honest, who can blame him for losing his temper in the face of such wilful ignorance? If he sometimes makes rash comment, well, who doesn't on occasion?
Thank you so much for sharing this

I received this as a part of a bookray. I'm afraid it'll take a while before I can get to this, but I'm eager to read it anyway :)

This one is no book to read before bedtime. Even though the book is filled with difficult terminology, Dawkins writes in an engaging way. I understand why the book has been written the way it is, but I would have enjoyed it more if the against-creationism and evolution stories wouldn't have been mixed so thoroughly. It's somehow sweet that in our time there still are thick books with photo pages in between :)

Dear me, I was 100% sure I had sent this book along months ago, and now I found it here in my study. I read it in Septemper during a dreamy holiday in the Azores Islands, so I saw much of what I read even clearer. I loved Dawkins' sense of humour. I will mail it to Edwardstreet over the next few days. Sorry, everyone!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Posted to the next person in the bookring, skipped one who did not respond to my PM for their address.

As a person who firmly believes in evolution, I enjoyed this, though I confess some skim reading on the very detailed, wordy, scientific chapters.

Here I am finally. The book was waiting for me when I got back from holiday, and then I put off doing a JE. Will read as quickly as I can and then move it along.
