Journal Entry 1 by rarsberry from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Thursday, September 25, 2003
We have a journal and there is now a photo available of the cover. (It looks much better in real life)
The theme is bookcrossing and books.
The journal has started its trip around the world (2nd of October 2003).
Below is the list including where the journal currently is, and will be going.
- spark (San Francisco, USA)<----------- journal is currently on its way here
- tamugrad02 (Virginia, USA)
- Alive (Florida, USA)
- Tuz (Brazil)
- Clawdia (Spain)
- Jaysgirl (England)
- nrrdgrrl (Netherlands)
- Silverstone (Sweden)
Those nearer the bottom half of the list will have to wait a while for the journal to get to them.
Mostly it will take time for the journal to be posted everywhere. It is going to many different countries.
Please be patient and know that one day you will get the journal. :D

Journal Entry 2 by rarsberry from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Wednesday, October 1, 2003
Today is the 1st of October.
I'm writing my entry in the journal today and passing it on to the next Book Crosser.
And so the journey of the journal begins.
The picture is of the Dunedin Police station, I decided on this as it had the word Dunedin on it and thats where I live. :)
Good luck little journal, have a safe trip and return to me in one piece.

WooHoo!! This artistic wee number has landed in Governors Bay and, as it is a GORGEOUS day here today, I will get my picture for my journal entry in a few minutes. Wonder if I can find some Canadian pictures to add, as well? I have been thinking about what to write and will likely get my entry done tomorrow...then send this beautiful gem of New Zealand on its way to Australia!! Thanks 'rarsberry' and 'boreal'!!!
Well, I have written my bit in this beautiful book and will send it on its way to Australia next. Don't think I quite attained the level of artistic excellence of the previous contributors, but I did find one or two nice pictures to include.
Thought I might add one more to this journal entry...one of the entire Lyttelton Harbour from Sign of the Bellbird, which is located in the hills above our house!
Bon Voyage wee book!!

This gorgeous little tome arrived in the post this morning. I haven't finished reading all the entries yet because I wanted to journal it straightaway. I can't compete with gorgeous New Zealand scenery here in the suburbs but a bit of green and gold with the journal will do for its "welcome to Australia" photo :)
This book is now on it's way to BookFrog in Sydney. I had great fun reading it and making my own entry. May you travel far and wide, little book!! :)
Journal Entry 12 by BookFrog from Albion Park, New South Wales Australia on Sunday, December 14, 2003
I finally managed to access my mail box (something about missing keys) and get out the little slip to take to the post office to retrieve the parcel a-waiting me.
And here it is. Sorry to have worried people about the disappearance, it was safe and sound just well not in my hands.
Here it is now and I can't wait to get started on it.

Finally on its way to felicia-fairy. She arrives back tomorrow and the book should join her by Tuesday just in time for her to tell us all about her travels ;)
Thank you for letting me be part of this journal ring, be interesting what people write in there.

Hi all! Sorry the little book has been held up by me.
I received it Tuesday (well done Bookfrog!) and it is ready to go now.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the other entries, and yes, I did include a little picture from my travels. (Me at the Great Wall!)
Have Pm'ed starbytes.

Journal on it's way to mellion108!!
I am SO sorry. I got this in the mail at least 2 weeks ago and totally, completely, without a doubt forgot to journal it. *cringe* It is here safe with me. I'm having a wonderful time reading through the other entries. I'll try to get mine done so this little journal can head on out to the next in line.
Thanks for including me!

I really must apologize once again. I had no idea I would still have this beautiful journal after all this time. Thanks for the PM, rarsberry. I haven't finished my entry yet. I'll give myself another week, and if I still haven't managed to finish, I'll go ahead and send this one on to the next person to get it moving again. The journal is still safe and sound, and I promise I won't let it die!
Again, my apologies! There have only been a couple of books that I've held to for longer than a couple of weeks, and I'm sorry that I stopped the journal from moving more quickly.
Anyway, this one is on its way to keycollect as of this afternoon. I sent it priority mail, so it should arrive in 2-3 days at the most.

the journal arrived in South Dakota today. I think it is only the second U.S. stop. It was great to read the Australian and New Zealand entries and I am dreaming about someday traveling more than 300 miles from my home. For now will have to settle for traveling with my books.
