Steinbeck is my favorite author. I often pick up used titles of his to release. This is a good one. The story of him travelling the USA with his dog, Charley. If this is your fist Steinbeck, I'd recommend The Pearl, Of Mice and Men, In Dubious Battle and my all time favorite read The Grapes of Wrath. Thank you for this "extra" book! I did read part of this book years ago, but never finished it. I will give it another try and maybe get through it this time (I'm not sure why I didn't finish it last time).

Read this years ago. A long time fan of Steinbeck. Was planning a trip out west with RV and thought I would like to reread. Looking forward to spending quiet evenings with JS. Thanks for placing at a Panera's where I could find it. It is now in Pennsylvania.
