The book fairy must love me. I recently caught the first book in this series from this same BCer and now I have caught the second one. I found it at the school by the flag pole. I can't believe that a whole day went by with school childrenb and teachers around there and no one picked it up. Their lose is my gain. I am looking forward to reading more about my flying kitty friends. I will pass it along after I am finished.
Journal Entry 4 by Lizabeth86 at Nature Preserve, Randolph Rd. in Middletown, Connecticut USA on Monday, September 29, 2003
Released on Monday, September 29, 2003 at Middletown Nature Gardens in Middletown, Connecticut USA.
I caught it ! I caught it! I caught it! Oh my, I was so excited cathcing this book. First, last week when Lizabeth86 released it, I left work early to try and get it and I followed her directions and did not see it anywhere. I looked all around the bench that I sit at which is located in the grass near the parking lot and I did not see it. Well, I went back on Sunday, October 5, 2003 just to do some other reading and enjoy the beautiful fall day and I sat at my bench again in the grass. I was there for several hours and at one point I stood to stretch and take a break from my reading and I walked behind the bench and slightly to the right of it and when I looked down, I saw a corner of a plastic bag. The entire book and bag had been covered by grass clippings as they mowed the area last week, this is why I did not find it the first time. It was quite hidden. I could not beleive it when I saw it! I jumped for joy! I knew it was magic that I was intended to find it. So i enjoyed the rest of my stay there and then went on a walk in the preserve and saw a deer on one of the trails and it just stood there near me and didnt seem afraid of me really and we kind of just looked at each other for a while there and I knew that I was meant to be there and find the book at that point in time. i took the book home and read it in the evening and of course I cried when I thought of the story and the family of cats I have had in my life for over thirty years. I am so glad that I found it. I will re-release it but not until I have read it at least one more time and have found out where I can purchase the story for my own collection. I would like to purchase the orginal and this sequel. And I am so excited because the way the story ends, it leaves it open for more adventures!
Well, I released it, even though it went a bit against my heart to do so. I brought it along on a small trip I took to Vermont and New Hampshire thinking that it would be the perfect setting to release such a book. Then, by the end of my time there, I had forgotten to release it. So I decided a pretty good place to realese it would be at the Hanover, New Hampshire Food Co-op, I placed it in the cat food aisle! I truly hope that it finds a new friend and that i have not done it a disservice. Lets keep our fingers crossed!
