3 journalers for this copy...
Local teenager Dakin Cameron is doing some household repairs for Torrey Tunet (keeping drafts out, and the warmth of the peat fire in, her cottage, for one) when he receives a threatening phone call. Someone is threatening his mother, a beautiful, widowed heiress who's getting ready to wed again. Because Torrey likes Dakin, she resolves to help. Of course things get worse - murder! - before they get better ...
Some of the story is a little hard to believe (or to keep disbelief suspended), especially the group interview in the police station. But the unfolding of the story, from several different viewpoints, keeps things interesting and moving along.
