4 journalers for this copy...
I purchased this book at the Deville Bookstore on Carondelet Street, downtown New Orleans. I had been waiting for a friend to lend me her copy but I ran out of patiece. This is a much more thought provoking book than I had anticipated. I had seen the movie previews but did not see the ovie and thought it was much more in the "light" reading category. Its not. Its got lots of "meat" to chew on for a while. I will be passing it on to one or both of my daughters before it is released into the wild. I am very touched that they both give me credit for influencing them to be avid readers.
Good, but not at all what I expected based on the movie previews. i didn't see the movie though. And it is thoughtful reading, not light escapism.
I am sending it directly to JesseBC by request and it is to be released into the wild or passed on to anyone she chooses when she finishes reading it.

Received today! Thanks! Thanks for the clarification -- I'll either release this one completely in the wild or just make sure it keeps moving when I'm done.
To go to MaeveEnRoute or possible bookring when I'm done.

I tried reading it, but I just couldn't make it. Thanks for the chance, but it's just not my cup of tea. Hope the next person loves the book. :)

A sad and hollow day for the Book Cemetery team when it was revealed in a message received today (Sunday 01 May 2005) that yet another Reading Companion has been booknapped, snatched by aliens, or fallen victim to the US Postal Service. A Memorial Service for the dear missing one was held in the Arbor of Broken Dreams and the memory of the volume intered beneath a sweet-smelling, fragrant heritage rose in the Memorial Rose Garden ("Prunus deliciosa") as the Choir sang "Apple Blossom Time" in dirge time. The huge congregation moaned in empathy, if not in time, during the performance, one of the Choir's better renditions.
The Chief Mourner was needmorezoloft, who, coincidentally, won today's "Lucky Door Prize" of an apple juicer and pip disgorger. We at the Book Cemetery had needy around for dinner.
