From the moment Ross's fiancee Aimee was killed in a car accident, he's been trying to die too. But life won't let him go. His only hope now is that Aimee will come to him.

So when he hears of strange happenings at an ancient Indian burial ground near his sister's home, he heads to Comtosook - desperate for the rumours of a haunting to be true.

What he finds there is not Aimee's ghost, but Lia, a very real woman whose life is filled with as many troubled secrets as his own...

To be honest, this was quite a disappointment for me as I have thought Picoult as one of my favourite authors! Perhaps I'm too realistic to get interested in ghosts and paranormal things, which was the major theme in this book?
The beginning of the book introduced such a large amount of characters I just couldn't follow the plot. I even skipped some pages, which is something I usually don't do when reading. The latter part was easier to follow, but still the book remained the worst I've read by Picoult.

I'll let this book travel to see, if someone will like it better :)

Yei! Jodi Picoult! Thanks lukutuoli, I'm looking forward to read this one! :)

Journal Entry 7 by Appelsiini at Lempäälä, Pirkanmaa / Birkaland Finland on Thursday, December 31, 2020
Finally I finished this book! I started in August, had many weeks when I didn't even remember this book. But it was part of my Mount. TBR challenge for year 2020, so I just couldn't give up. So this was really slow reading. I know sometimes books from Jodi Picoult can be a bit slow in the beginning, but this took really long until "something happened". Not the greatest book from Jodi Picoult.
