A NOTE TO 1001-LIBRARY REQUESTERS:
I’m happy to ship anywhere, but I will usually post the cheapest way I can as Royal Mail is stupidly expensive. I recommend you check to see if there is another copy available nearer to you if you want it quickly.
That being said, I welcome all requests as my books love to travel!

Arrived last week but I've only just found time to get on here, thanks for sending, I've been meaning to read this for a long time now.
I'm still thinking about how I feel about this book despite finishing it 5 hours ago. I loved the opening few pages and then found it quite difficult - especially as I kept drifting into thinking of the narrator as a woman and not a man. Eventually this problem drifted away and I sped through the rest of the book. I loved huge sections of the book but found the end of the book very strange.
I loved the description of Bill's art the most and had vivid images of it, I would love to go and see such an art show. I finished her husband's book a few days ago and strangely his desription of silent movies I found the most beautiful part of his work as well.
I soon forgot that the author was female and the narrator male. I loved the creation of each of the characters feeling that they were all vivid and complex.
A book I'd definitely recommend
