Mandala Challenge – the extraordinary BookRing
Explanation:
In January 2011, when he was tidying up his room, BookCrosser Cal-Hifeng found a book with 50 Mandalas to be coloured in. Twelve years before, he had coloured two of them, and further two about three years afterwards. Meanwhile, in 2009, he had become a BookCrosser and sure he didn't want the Mandala Book to remain unused on his bookshelf. So he intended to send it on a great journey as a BookRing – maybe even around the whole world!
Instructions:
Each participating BookCrosser
1.coulours one Mandala in the book,
2.writes the date together with his nickname and home country beneath the coloured-in Mandala,
3.writes a journal entry on www.bookcrossing.com or www.bookcrossing.de.
Afterwards, he sends the Mandala Book to the next BookCrosser participating in the BookRing (listing of the participants can be seen at http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/8562665).
The final addressee of the BookRing will be Cal-Hifeng again. After the book will be back from its big and adventurous journey, Cal-Hifeng would like to scan the coloured-in Mandalas and to display them into a virtual gallery – to show how global and collaborative BookCrossing can be.
