An intriguing story of a little girl growing up in Germany in the Second World War, her adoptive family and the Jewish man they hide in their basement. It's beautifully told, and it will make you cry. In a good way.

The train that the book was left on was returned to the depot later that morning. I found the book and as I've already read it (and it was wonderful) I'll be passing it on to another bookworm-driver for them to read and release.

This is a great book which I really enjoyed. Death's humour is incredibly funny to read. I'll be passing this on to a colleague. :-)
