My favorite Robert Louis Stevenson book, by far. This is the adventure of David Balfour, who loses his father, finds out he's part of a large estate, then gets sold into slavery. With the help of a Highland rogue, he tries to get back to Edinburgh to set things right but gets more than he'd bargained for.
