It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

Not your traditional detective story! I fell in love with the charming lady detective, and enjoyed the bits about African culture along the way.

Journal Entry 7 by twiga92 from Troy, Michigan USA on Monday, July 12, 2004
It took me a little while to get into as the style is different than I'm used to. But I'm glad I kept going. This is a great little book about a woman in Africa who opens her own business.

Will be sending this on to First-Noel as part of a bookray.

Journal Entry 8 by First-Noel from San Antonio, Texas USA on Tuesday, July 20, 2004
Wow perfect timing. I just received this one today and I'm leaving for vacation at 6:00 AM tomorrow. This one is going on the plane with me.

I've heard so much about this one, from a magazine article in People, to a piece about it on 60 Minutes. I figure this is one band wagon I'll jump up on. I'll let you know what I think as soon as I'm done.

Journal Entry 9 by First-Noel from San Antonio, Texas USA on Saturday, July 31, 2004
Finally finished this one. It didn't hold my attention but becuase of the choppy way it's written it didn't seem to matter all that much. I did enjoy it. I though Mma Romotswe was wonderful, although most of her investigations were successfull because of luck. Either that or Botswanans' are extremely naive and fell for her tactics.

I will look into reading Morality for Beautiful Girls.

Mailed off today at lunch time.

Journal Entry 11 by nekki2976 from Mumford, New York USA on Tuesday, August 17, 2004
Received this yesterday. I plan to read it as soon as I finish a couple of other rings (hopefully I'll get it out this week).

Journal Entry 12 by nekki2976 from Mumford, New York USA on Sunday, August 29, 2004
I loved this book! I have rarely found a book lately that I'll read in one day. I loved that I could read it in snippets between chores orset it down to take care of my daughters, but when I picked it back up, it was easy to get right back into it.

I also loved that the detective stories were reminiscent of adult Encyclopedia Brown tales.

Thanks for sharing elliemae!

I'll be sending it out to Goldloeckchen this week.

Journal Entry 13 by goldloeckchen from Dortmund, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany on Wednesday, September 29, 2004
Found this in the mail, yesterady. Thanks for sending it!

I started right away and finished yesterday evening.
What a sweet sweet book! I've been hoping to read this for a long long time and I wasn't dissapointed. Now, I'm hooked and have to get the others in the series :-)

Will send this on, as soon as I get the adress.

Journal Entry 16 by torialouise from York, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Friday, October 15, 2004
I'd heard a lot about this series so was keen to read - it didn't disappoint. I thought it was a fabulous book. I love the character of Precious Ramotswe and how she describles and loves her country of Botswana. I liked the scene setting at the beginning when you learn about her life and her father before moving to the present day adn the detective agency. It was a real gentle read, but once i started i found it hard to put down. Thanks for sharing!

On to antsnax now!

Journal Entry 17 by torialouise from York, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Sunday, October 31, 2004

Journal Entry 19 by rubyjules from Clifton Park, New York USA on Monday, December 20, 2004
I really wasn't so sure I would enjoy this book before I started it, but I got sucked right in. It was so good. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Junegirl asked to be skipped, so as soon as I get KarinAlyssa's address I will mail this out.

Journal Entry 21 by KarinAlyssa on Thursday, December 30, 2004
I thought I was going to receive this book in January, but it arrived today in my mailbox, thanks to RubyJules. I'll begin it next week as I just started a book yesterday.
Thank you for EllieMae for sharing that book.

Journal Entry 22 by KarinAlyssa on Friday, January 7, 2005
I was slightly deceived at first as I thought it would be a mystery, but instead it was a book about living in Africa. Passed that point, I really started to enjoy this book and the life of Mma Ramamotswe and the life in Africa. I knew that all countries are different, but Botswana seemed ideal compared to Rwanda or other African countries.

Thank you EllieMae for sharing that book, I will ship it to LaughAtlantis later this month when I'll be going to the post office.

Journal Entry 23 by KarinAlyssa on Friday, February 18, 2005
Even if I read this book quickly, I didn't get to go at the post office since the New Year. I'm sorry for delaying this bookray. It's going to LaughAtlantis tomorrow.

Journal Entry 24 by LaughAtlantis on Saturday, March 5, 2005
Received earlier this week... this is in great condition considering how many people have read it. This will be the next on my TBR. Thanks!
