I had never read any of Robert Louis Stevenson's works beyond Robinson Crusoe so this was a great find.
Set in Scotland in 1751 during the Jacobite rebellion this is a real adventure story (but hope you don't have any problems reading the Scottish accents) of a David Balfour's misfortune and fortune on his journey to claim his inheritance.
I'm now on the look out for more of Stevenson's other less known gems. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
